ingrediants:
toor dhal-1cup
garlic-2pods
onion shallots-6
tomato-3 small
pumpkin (white)-1 bowl
tamarind pulp-3tsp
green chilli-2
sambar powder-2tsp
turmeric powder-1/4tsp
curry leaves,coriender leaves,salt.,hing as needed.
Method:
Pressure cook dhal +turmeric powder+garlic+hing for 2 whistles.
In kadai oil+mustard +urad dhal+onion+curry leaves..fry until onion smells goes.or fry for 5mts,
Now add tomato,fry until it becomes jucy.
Add pumpkin stir it just 5sec.Add 2 cupof water .above that add smabar powder.dont stir.cover the kadai.
after 5mts the smabar powder begins to mix.when the pumpkin is half cooked add dhal and tamarind pulp.Make it to boil for 10mts.
Grnaish with coriender leaves....
