Sambar 1

Ingrediants:
Toor dhal-11/2cup
small tomato-3
onion-10 shallots
brinjal-2
drumstick-1
sambar powder-3tsp
asafoetida-3pinch
garlic-3pods
turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
tamarind--3tsp tamarind pulp

Method:
Pressure cook toor dhal with garilc and turmeic powder for 3 whistles.
Now in kadai oil+mustard seed+urud dhal+onion+curry leaves..fry it for 5mts.now +tomato.fry it until it becomes juicy.Now add vegetables.fry for 3mts.pour water(3cup) .Now add sambar powder over the water.dont not stir it.water will get boiled and the powder has to be mix by itself.

boil it until vegetables r cooked 3/4 th.By mean time smashed the dhal.now add the dhal to the mixture,immedietly add tamarind pulp too.make it to boil for 10mts..granish with coriender leaves.Add salt for taste.
