Ingrediants
raw rice--2cup2
moong dhal-3/2 cup
butter-1/2 cup
ghee-10tsp
pepper-2tsp
cumin seeds-1tsp
cumin powder-1/4 tsp
ginger-1tsp
curry leaves.salt
Milk-1cup
water-6cups.
hing-1/4 tsp
Method:
soak rice and moongdhal for 15mts.
after 15mts add 6cups of water +milk+1tsp pepper+1/2 tsp cumin seeds+cumin powder+salt+butter.+hing.+ginger 1/2tsp+ghee 5tsp
pressure cook it for 2whistles in medium flame.
In kadai ghee5 tsp+1/2 tsp ginger+1tsp pepper+1/2 tsp cumin seeds+curry leaves.fry it...
remove the lid and now mix the fried one with the rice..
Hot ponagl is ready..serve with coconut chuttney and sambar.
Optional:If u want you can add cashew while frying in ghee...
